Hey, I'm Gab!

Every time I ask a client to describe the best team they have ever been on -or what their dream team would be like- they always share the same thing.

They imagine being part of organization where they feel supported and where their presence, perspective, skills, and ideas are valued.

In these conditions, people thrive- and when individuals collectively thrive, so does the organization at large! But this is easier said than done.

Between day-to-day operations, scaling, and staffing challenges, it is easy for these less tangible characteristics to get put on the back burner. While this may work in the short-term, without the proper attention, burnout and turnover can set in and slowly eat away at all of the successes that have been made.

That's where I come in.

I specialize in supporting managers and organizations in building -or rebuilding-  strong teams. I work with clients to identify and close gaps, foster healthy working relationships, and implement changes to increase employee satisfaction, team cohesion, and retention.

Often, I found myself using my therapist skillset within the workplace to create clarity, improve our team's culture, and mentor new managers- all in service of building a stronger team that is motivated to work towards organizational goals.

That is when I decided to align those interests into one career. Thus, Hey Gab Consulting was born!

My Approach

The therapist in me would describe my approach as person-centered, relational and solution-focused. This means I believe that:

  • Genuine human connection is fundamental to growth and

  • There is always a solution- we just need to find it!

While I will not be your therapist, this orientation will come through in our work together.

With each client -whether an individual, team, or organization- I first take time to listen and get a full picture of what is challenges you're facing. I will then analyze that information, present some themes I've observed, and invite you to co-create our next phase of work together.

After that, we get to work!

  • leadership development

  • building a healthy team

  • repairing workplace relationships

About Me

I have always been a problem solver and efficiency finder. Whether at work or in my personal life, I am energized by figuring out the root of an issue and identifying ways to move through it. This natural orientation led me down a two very different career paths.

I have spent the majority of my career working within the nonprofit sector- managing teams within the college access and education equity spaces. During that time, I also became a licensed mental health therapist-- launching my private practice in 2020. While completely different fields, both of these careers fueled different aspects of my passion: my desire to see tangible change and my belief in individuals' ability to grow.

  • identifying their management style

  • navigating specific workplace situations

I look forward to working with clients who are seeking support with:
